Title: Saint Raphael Meet-Up
Post by: AMDGJMJ on November 09, 2022, 04:36:48 PM
We have decided to give the Young Adult Group Meet-Up we are hosting a name to distinguish it from other "TRAD YAGs".

The name will be Saint Raphael Meet-Up.  If all goes well this time, we are considering making it an annual or at least biannual event.

We have started a blog site over the past couple of days in order to keep people informed and share pictures from the event.

Here is a link if anyone is interested in giving any input or suggestions:

https://saintraphaelmeetup.blogspot.com/2022/11/?m=0 (https://saintraphaelmeetup.blogspot.com/2022/11/?m=0)

We are still working out some kinks but please keep the event and everyone attending it in your prayers.  Only a little over two weeks now until the event.

Omnia ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!

Many thanks to everyone who was praying for the success of the Saint Raphael Meet-Up!  Everything went very smoothly and everyone who attended seemed to have a great time! :cowboy:

We have decided that we will host our next Meet-Up once again in Front Royal, VA, the weekend after Thanksgiving.

For anyone who wants to save the dates they are: Friday-Sunday November 24-26th 2023.

There has been talk of horse back trail riding, hiking, gun and arrow shooting tournaments, and sewing seminars for next time but it may be a little while before we finalize any plans.

We were a bit pensive never having hosted an event like this before but things went so well and everyone seemed to have a great time.  We are so grateful for all the prayers!  We are sure that they helped!

As of last night we received official permission from the farm we had most of event at that we could rent it for the whole weekend next year and that they are willing to let us do the shooting tournaments on Sunday when the farm is closed and that they willing to arrange horseback trail rides for those interested in paying an extra $35 each.  So, it is looking like everything is coming together already for next year's Meet-Up.  😇🙏

I may be able to go if they eliminate Green Pass restrictions in the US and I'm accepted by you.

I'm actually saying that because, well, you know, I'm vaccinated for the first two doses. If that's not a problem I'll go there happy if I can.

In all reality, I'm glad I didn't go because I would've captured all of the hearts of the young ladies there, thus, nullified any chances for the men attending. I'm serious. That's why I don't like to go to events like this because it's really not fair for the other men. All of the women simply would've fallen in love with me. It's happened so many times now. I know it's a good problem for me but I still feel sorry for other men who have no chance at a getting woman, if she is even in my proximity.

I think there are many people who have been vaccinated at least once or twice, and if not with the COVID vaccine at least when they were little with something else...

What is done is done.  Some people may care more than others about it.  I know my parents and my husband's parents got us both vaccinated as children.  Not much we can do about that now.  We can only affect the present and future at this point.

I think if you had come you might have found that there were several young men there who most certainly could have competed with you if not more...
