He then enrolled at [color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)]Loyola University Chicago[/color] from which he graduated in 1952 with a bachelor's degree in business management.Newhart was drafted into the [color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)]U.S. Army[/color] and served in the United States during the [color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)]Korean War[/color] as a clerk until being discharged in 1954.^{[color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)][7][/color]}[/size][/sup]^{[color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)][11][/color]}[/size][/sup] He briefly attended [color=var(--color-progressive,#36c)]Loyola University Chicago School of Law[/color], but did not complete a degree, in part, he said, because he was asked to behave unethically during an internship.[/font][/size][/color]
