I just got back from the Post Office --
Small town of 1000 people. Post office lobby is about 10' by 10'. Still, they have a single "social distancing" sticker on the ground, where the next person is supposed to wait. The sole employee was wearing a face shield. The customer waiting in line was dutifully standing on the sticker, while wearing a mask of course.
I wanted to toss her a dog treat, pat her on the head, and say "good boy!"
I thought to myself, "What a farce. What a masquerade. We're all playing "pandemic" like a bunch of creative children on a lazy Saturday afternoon."
Fortunately I just walked up to the counter and unloaded my packages -- I haven't had to wait in line for a long time, since I've used online stamping for many years now. I don't have the patience to have P.O. employees do it. I'm usually better at it than they are. When you have pre-stamped packages and just need to drop them off, you just go up and leave them on the counter.
Thank goodness. I can't stand the madness.
