I would like to thank these contributors to CI in this thread for giving a few words that you just won't find in most places on the Internet or in public generally speaking, regarding that despicable "Ga-ga" woman and immorality in entertainment in general.
She continues to scandalize children whenever she gets the chance, and Our Lord said that people like her would be BETTER OFF with a millstone tied about their neck and cast into the sea. Since that isn't likely to happen to her, one may well shudder at the thought of what will LIKELY happen to her, eventually.
I went to the grocery store yesterday and pushing a shopping cart around I was passing by other shoppers who were openly speaking about their Super Bowl expectations without any suspicion that there may be someone nearby within earshot who does not appreciate what they have to say. So many people today walk around talking on their cell phones saying things that nobody probably wants to hear.
Anyway, regarding the Big Game, I might watch some of it and I might not, but I doubt I'll have any interest in the halftime show. While I certainly don't worship sports like is commonplace today as it was in ancient Rome, seeing a well-played game now and then is not too hazardous to one's faith, I hope.
In fact, in my experience whenever there has been a halftime show I wanted to see (marching bands on the field is nice, especially when they play the great John Philip Sousa's marches which is almost never, any more) I am disappointed because the channel goes right to high-priced commercials instead of showing the bands do their thing.
This was my principal complaint about Fox News at their coverage of the Presidential Inauguration, because when the Marine Corps Marching Band (arguably untouchable in their precision and discipline) went by, they had the sound OFF, while silly blathering of commentators went on and on, which I had no interest in hearing. The new President Trump stood behind glass with a continuous posture of SALUTE, which was nice to see (when is the last time you saw the President salute the Marine Corps Band???) and that kind of made up for not hearing what the Band was playing, strange to say.
