  • Move to the country, already! You know you want to. You really do belong there.

    That's what I did. Rather than "kick against the goad" and be upset that I can't have chickens, light bonfires, etc. I just moved to where I belong.

  • I've read that many poor people secretly raised chickens in their basements in the cities for eggs and for dinner.  (in places like NYC)

    It wouldn't surprise me if it is a common thing among people who know how to prepare very fresh chicken.   :ready-to-eat:

  • My great aunt lives in the centre of Huntington Beach (near Los Angeles) and raised many chickens and had a pond full of koi fish. It was very beautiful, but a mentally disturbed young boy went into her property and killed most of the chicken and poured detergent into the koi fish pond.
