  • There is a really wonderful Catholic Apologetics website I found recently. Most of you probably already know about it. It has an online version of Radio Replies (which I find extremely helpful when I am debating with my Protestant friends) by Frs. Rumble and Carty.

Anyway, here is a link: http://catholicapologetics.net/

  • Radio Replies was one of the first books I read when I started reading Catholic books.

I didn't want to give up my faith, but knew how ignorant I was about the Faith. It helped me realize that my Faith wasn't ridiculous, etc.

I think they are very good books, and important for today especially, with so many non-Catholics all around us. We NEED to be able to answer them. Just consider the time spent reading them a work of charity, among other things.

We owe ourselves, in Charity, to be able to explain at least the BASICS of the faith to those in darkness around us.

If we can't explain many things, and don't try to remedy that, we'd better be "under-equipped" talent-wise, otherwise we're in for a VERY harsh judgment after we die.

    In Christ,

    Matthew

It would be interesting were those put online. It's a bad link, of course. But perhaps someone else copied the text to another site (you could try a phrase search and see what shows up). As someone who posts old books, including the Rheims (so far), I can also say that copyright has helped destroy much potential on the web, suggesting that only those with money to purchase 'rights' will end up controlling which version of a text sees its way to the web if published after 1922. And the radio replies date after 1922.

Ironically, for Catholics, the most instructive and useful works tend to predate the 1930s, and stretch back century after century, all in the public domain - even if it might require a translation from the Latin. Much that is otherwise protected by overlong copyright is junk, and 'enlightenment' nonsense, foolish philosophy, and one lie after another.

Did I find out correctly that the site was too expensive to keep up? Or, if not, what happened to that site? I liked it. And it was nice that it had those Radio Replies on there.

I think the site had something to do with this site: www.catholicapologetics.info. Maybe you could collaborate with them, Matthew. :D
