  • Great minds thinking alike and the providence of God was at work today. I had just finished leafleting in relation to the property/home tax when I met the Youth Defence "crew" on the street holding a pro-life banner. I didn't know they would be in the same town today so I hadn't arranged to meet them.

Whilst I switched off on the idea of collecting signatures, I gladly held up the pro-life banner with them. It read "Say No to Abortion". After an hour or so on the main street I suggested we picket the politicians office. So off we went and spent about 30 minutes there.

Great reaction from local people and in particular young people. Whilst Ireland is sinking but among the ruins there is still a Catholic resistance. It was obvious today.

You still see many pregnant women on the streets in Ireland and young children on the streets.

Just for clarification it's not just pro-life signatures I am against. Once I was asked to sign a petition against fracking. Some people on the street wanted people to send politicians a postcard. I told them they need more than a postcard to be sent to them. Many of them deserve facing the firing squad.
