Private opinions of Saints

    but look at this analogy: There are doctor A and doctor B.
    Doctor A: if a patient uses x he will die.
    Doctor B: if a patient uses x he will be better.
    Now we are not bound to believe in dectors. BUT! it is an abvious truth that only one of them is correct! So we chose to believe in just one of them. No sin or crime here. the problem is that if you chose to believe in Dr. B and Doctor A is right you will die.
    So when two Saints are at variance only one of them is true. And if we choose to believe the other who was in mistake, we may have to pay it's price.
    My question is about these two categories of Saints:
    1- Some of them believed in seriousness,melancholy, holy pride and believing yourself to be better than many and avoiding careless people.
    2-others believed that sadness and holy pride are bad and hinders you from perfection displeases God etc.

    Although I am free to believe in either, if I listen to the first group I may be lost in case God parts with the second!
