  • This is an old-school priest who obviously had a good, old-fashioned mother, IMO. The old axiom, lust turns to anger' comes to mind.

  • This story has "broken out" worldwide. It goes to show that telling the truth can make world headlines.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

He also asked a reporter for Rai Radio: 'I don’t know whether you’re a queer or not, but what do you feel when you see a naked women?

'Are women themselves not causing harm by unveiling themselves like this?', he was quoted as saying in The Journal.

  • I don't think you can blame the violence on the women, per se. (Men still have a responsibility to control themselves) But when I was raising my teenage girls, and of course they wanted to be in style and dress like the other girls at school, I had to remind them: "If you are trying to look sexy so that boy you like will look at you, you should know that all the other men who aren't blind are looking too. This includes  the nerds, losers, jr. high boys, and creepy old perverts." Or "What makes you think your dad and brother are ok with your cleavage staring them in the face? Don't you see them turning their eyes from you? They are embarrassed."  Sometimes blunt is good. Then the offending garment was torn to shreds and deposited in the trash can.Sometimes followed by squeals of "MOM! You CAN'T! That was borrowed from so-and-so!" To which my response was, "Guess she won't be loaning you many of her hooker-clothes anymore, huh? If her mother thinks I should pay to replace it ,she can call me and we'll have a talk about modesty." Never did get a single call.

You couldn't pay me to raise girls again in these times.

Maria Gabriella Carnieri Moscatelli, the head of Telefono Rosa, an association that helps the victims of violence, said an was not sufficient.

She told SkyTG24 television: 'I thank the bishop who had the paper taken down but I'm still not satisfied because I think someone needs to talk to this person and understand why he has these attitudes.

'I think he needs to make a deeper examination of his conscience that goes beyond apologies.'

Why how nice of Ms. Moscatelli to offer directions for this priest! It is so upsetting that she is not "satisfied"!

The priest should kindly tell Ms. Moscatelli to have a nice large cup of shut the $#@# up! We care what she thinks, why? We need to satisfy her why? She is more of an authority on examination of conscience than the priest, how?

Is there no free speech in Italy? Where are the liberals defending this priest's right to free expression even when it is unpopular? Isn't that exactly the type of speech that needs protection to these folks?

    Quote
The bishop of La Spezia ordered it to be taken down, saying it contained 'unacceptable opinions which are against the common position of the church'.

What opinions are "against the common position of the church?" And what the heck is the "common position of the church?" Is this a new theological term? How in the heck are any of the opinions he expressed against any Catholic doctrine whatsoever? They are a priest's opinions as to the societal causes of some modern ills.

So let's take the argument against Father's opinions to their logical conclusion. Let's remove gender from the equation altogether, as liberals like to do when it suits them. Let's say you have two men: Rob and Bob. Rob is bigger and stronger than Bob. Bob comes up, spits in Rob's face, makes obscene hand gestures, spews profanity at Rob and lets him know that his mother is a two-bit worthless tramp. According to the logic of Ms. Moscatelli, Bob shares ZERO blame if Rob socks him in the face. ZERO. Not 20%, 10%, 5%, 1% blame...ZERO blame. And if you say Bob shares ANY blame whatsoever...WHATSOEVER, you are a bigot and hater of Bob's kind (ethnicity, orientation, gender, etc.) and your views are offensive and you must be punished and make public penance for espousing them. So say the victimologist profiteers!

What a bunch of complete fascist garbage. I pray this priest publicly doubles down on what he thinks and kindly tells Ms. Moscatelli, the mayor, and the journalists to go to Hell if they don't like it.
