  • The New Roman Missal by Fr. Lasance reads:
    Quote
Faithful reprint of the 1945 Copyright edition of the Fr. Lasance New Roman Missal with appendix and changes of feasts promulgated under the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Pius XII

A few pages in, under the heading "1993 Edition" it discusses the additions and changes promulgated by Pope Pius XII.  Obviously Pius XII was before V2 so this should suit you.

That's the one I use and it is fabulous.

So, what are your opinions on this missal? It is updated from the 1960 version so is it the new , latin, mass?

It is post-Bugnini for sure.  That is really what you are asking, isn't? He began to get his hands on the liturgy before V2, (1950 I believe).

When I was searching for a Missal I looked at alot.  I was looking for one with all the great features.  But in the end it came down to "Which one is free of the Bugnini Bug?"  I would not totally trust anything written by the man that is mostly responsible for the destruction of the liturgy. I would search for a Missal that is before 1950 or so.  The older the better.

But here is a good link for comparing the various Traditional Missals out there.  At that site, the one I am recommending is titled "New Roman Missal". One thing I wish the New Roman Missal had was an updated table of feasts.  That would be helpful.
