Title: Prayers Requested
Post by: Seraphina on June 16, 2024, 10:52:32 AM: Please pray for the adult son of my close friend. He has been away from the Faith for many years and is gravely ill. He feels he has no reason to live. Our Lord knows who he is!

Post by: Dominique on June 17, 2024, 03:07:28 AM: I just wanted to share a personal story/experience: you know how we read in some books about people rejecting the priest or scapulars, etc? It happened to me personally. A person who had a terminal disease and didn't want to convert (fallen away Catholic). Refused the priest in violent terms. Then I found a way to tape a green scapular at the back of a frame in his bedroom. When he got moved to another facility, I checked and the scapular had been ripped off! I found a way of putting another one in the new room but I never did get to check if it had been found and thrown out. It gives me the shivers to this day to think you can feel yourself dying and still refuse grace... Maybe his last moments were different, but as far as we can tell from the outside, they weren't. 😥

Post by: Seraphina on June 17, 2024, 04:57:05 AM: OP here. I just wanted to let CI members know the young man died this morning at 3:45 AM, CST, USA. He did have on a green scapular and had a priest, although he was too far gone to make a Confession or receive Communion. His mother was at his bedside, faithful to the end.
Please continue to pray for the repose of his soul, also, remember his mother as most of his family, wife, children, siblings are estranged from him.
The funeral arrangements will fall pretty much to his mother who is a widow. They say it isn’t supposed to be this way, the parent burying the adult child, but God surely has His reasons. I suspect it may draw his siblings back to God.

(Just in case rumors start, NO, he did not get the the Fauxi jab and did NOT die of Covid.)
