    Hail Mary,
I look forward to your update on your situation.

Looks like I'll also need some prayers for my temporal needs.   Since I was laid-off a while back (along with several thousand others in the same city and field), and I've been taking temporary assignments until recently.  However, the job I am in now cannot continue to give full-time hours (it's a tiny business that is mostly seasonal), and I've not had much luck finding opportunities that are direct hire.  The agencies are mostly pretty horrible.  Last summer I had a really rough time and wrote this little (ficticious) scenario to let off some steam.  Perhaps some of you could relate to it:

(Used with permission from the Chief) :

TRANSCRIPT FROM INTERVIEW WITH CHIEF BIG TALK-LITTLE PAY:

    Chief Big Talk:  How!
Me:  How?  Very well, thank you.  And how!
Chief Big Talk:    You yank come here, look for work.  I show you good job.
Me:  Excellent!  I'm really looking forward to learning more about this opportunity.
Chief Big Talk:  Now the grass is finally green, and the meadows are ripe...
(I start to get really excited as I anticipate a job offer about to be mentioned)
    Chief Big Talk continues:
Chief Big Talk: ... and the field is abundant.
Me:  That's good news!  Which field, by the way, did you have in mind?
Chief Big Talk:  Sister, for many moons now you look for good work finding less than flint,  and the Great Spirit has guided you to me like a little fish in a big stream.  Chief Big Talk give you now work.
Me:  Wonderful!  What will I be doing?
Chief Big Talk:  You, sister, are good and healthy, we put you out in the field.
Me:  Oh.  I see.  When you say "field" you mean...
Chief Big Talk:  You will work in the corn.
Me:  Excellent!  You mean sales and/or marketing in the grain industry?
Chief Big Talk:  The sun rises, and the moon sets each day, but the full moon only comes once a month... you will go work in corn field.
    Me:
    (--Brief Silence--)
Me:   So, what is the pay?
Chief Big Talk:  I give you basket, you fill it from field and take home.
Me:  That sounds great, only, I can't live off corn.
Chief Big Talk:  Field work is only 'till harvest.  When harvest come, Big Talk give you job paying money.
Me:  OK.  When do I start?

***Update:  I didn't end up taking the job, because they found I was prone to heatstroke. ***
DISCLAIMER:  The above post is not, by any means, a generalization of indigenous Americans or temporary agency recruiters.  Historically speaking the sheiksters were often the 'white men' traders.  Chief Big Talk, incidentally, assimiliated into white-man's culture when he started working at a car dealership which promises to sell to anyone "no matter how bad their credit".  And as for staffing agency recruiters, well, I'm still working on finding something reprievable on their character).

    Thank you!

It would be easy to just take a second job, but I never know when my employer wants me to be available, as he wishes me also be flexible but with part-time hours.   Please pray that God's perfect will be done in this situation.

I also pray that I can be in a situation where I can attend daily Mass in the Extraordinary Form.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers.

    I also need some advice:

Does anyone happen to know anything about The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Association?  Is it or is it not affiliated with the Freemasons?   The reason I ask is because I have tests to take at the IBBA in a few days, as I may be considered for a f/t position there.
