  • I always get confused on this topic.

If a person commits mortal sin and can't get to confession for a week, but they make a sound act of contrition with firm promise of amendment...

Will their prayers be heard that week?
Will the sufferings they offer up that week have any merit?
Can they still offer up sufferings for others?

    Thanks
I exposed AB Vigano's public meetings with Crowleyan Satanist Dugin so I ask protection on myself family friends priest, under the Blood of Jesus Christ and mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary! If harm comes to any of us may that embolden the faithful to speak out all the more so Catholics are not deceived.

  • Yes, for sure if it was an Act of Perfect Contrition!

    Pray for that particular grace.
    Please pray for my soul.
