    That's true in the US also.  People go to Catholic school where they're better (education-wise) than the public schools.  Their last names do not sound particularly Catholic (unless they belong to one of those Eastern churches).

    They were recent arrivals to Canada from Sri Lanka.  I wouldn’t recognize ANY names from that country as being Catholic or any other religion!  If the article hadn’t specified, U wouldn’t know male from female.

    Another article at that same newspaper said that the family is Buddhist.
