Is there any word on Mark?
Nadir and All Cathinfo members,Update: Just got news that Mark79 is off the ventilator now and headed for full recovery. He had some complications and had to be sedated again after we had announced his return from 54 days of unconsciousness. So it remains a miracle. Our Lady interceded for him. Deo gratias!
I was so touched in learning of this thread that my eyes got misty. I struggled to not break out in tears. I am profoundly humbled by the number of friends, friends of friends, and strangers who have prayed and offered Masses for my recovery. Thank you to all who have prayed for me.I would like to share publicly only some bare-bones details. Some things were so horrifying and abusive that I will not repeat them publicly. Almost certainly I contracted the COVID at work (a contract that allowed me to do two Corporal Works of Mercy). The time from first symptom (extreme exhaustion) to coma was so short, I did not even get to the hydroxychloroquine I had obtained for our family. I was in a coma for 2 months and in the ICU an additional 2 months on a ventilator. When I awoke from coma I was essentially quadriplegic and needed another 2 months of rehab. I just arrived home, still severely weakened, but miraculously alive. I am as certain as I can be that the many prayers and Masses for intercession figured greatly in God's Mercy on me (and my family who still need me). My wife was hospitalized and all my children had prolonged illness. I am a pretty sorry sight right now, but I anticipate recovery though quite slowly. Of course it depends on the speed of my recovery, but I am hoping to return to work within a few months and we are planning a little family vacation after Christmas (in part to make up for the time I lost with them). My family observed that I "turned the corner" shortly after receiving Extreme Unction from my favorite priest (he is not a sede). My wife and all my children and in-laws were truly saintly, stepping in the breech for the activities of daily life and visiting me every day (except when they were incapacitated). Their love for me and me for them has been more palpable than ever. They are a blessing to me.I have offered all this to God in reparation. It is my hope that this agony will shorten the Purgatory time that I so dread.Today, for the first time in six months, I made a few updates to judaism.is. :-)Again, I tender my heartfelt thanks to all who helped me. May God have mercy on us all.Mark 7:9 (precisely as Bonaventure noted)Since I am still banned, anyone who wishes to contact me should message my close CathInfo friends who are not yet banned. They can relay your contact info to me and I will respond directly.)
