I never struggled with my weight until I hit my 40s. Having two babies since I turned 40 has destroyed my body! However, I try to eat properly and exercise as much as I can.
Many women, after 40, experience weight gain because of hormones. It just happens and there isn't much to do about it.
In years past, though, people didn't really exercise like we do and I don't remember much obesity. There is something else going on besides not exercising.
I don't drink soda or eat bread. I don't eat cereals or processed foods. No pasta or rice. I have a little sugar in my morning coffee. No donuts, cakes, or cookies. I don't eat fast food, either. I don't drink a lot or smoke. I eat meat once a day and sometimes not at all. No crackers or chips either. Yet, here I am battling obesity.
So before you judge harshly, consider that maybe people are doing the best they can with what resources they have.
