We are in the world, not of it, and sooner or later will have to face neo pagan post Christians and liberals. If not in a college setting, then at work.

Mater, the problem with small, no name private colleges is exactly that. A degree serves two practical purposes: 1. Teaching a skill and 2. Allowing one to get a job.

If one were to get a liberal arts degree from a small, no name school, along with a small amount of debt, I'd consider that worse than getting the same BA from State U. for free.

Of course, it depends on one's situation, plans, etc.

I do agree with you of course but trust me any "liberals" at work are relatively tame compared to those brainwashed college professors and rich college kids.

  • I've noticed that trads are inclined towards the liberal arts?

One good way to avoid a good deal of the nonsense is to take physics, higher math and/or engineering. There will be a few of the 'general' classes subject to all sorts of feminist anfgαy interpretations at every turn, but one option for "humanities" credits (at my schoolat least) should be a language.

Take a chemistry, physics, math, engineering, or IT degree and a language (or 2).

Worked for me. The only 'nonsense' I had to deal with was some biology (evolution pushing), but they were quite open to discussion even on that topic. Also a philosophy class that went over classics like the Iliad, the Odyssey, etc. That professor seemed to only want to grind a polytheism axe, which converted literally no one to polytheism. The only thing more ridiculous to a Berkeley undergrad than God, was a bunch of gods.

Basically, I don't think you should find much objectionable content in an electrical or mechanical engineering curriculum (and they should lead to more employment opptys than a history major.
