    • The culprit artiste, Shahzia Sikander, was on a mayoral advisory committee back in 2017, and her other work pretty much celebrates this same sort of barbarity. It's curious then that the profile angle of this hideous idol actually resembles Chirlane McCray who, as ex-mayor DiBlasio's harply missus, refused to allow a civic statue of Mother Cabrini even though this Saint was by far the most popular choice in a local competition. There's no shame anymore, just brazen flaunting, even though whichever servant-of-the-people who OK'd this monstrosity, on a courthouse of all places, doesn't have the nerve to own up to it publicly.
