• Once again, I am forced to wonder:

Why am I not hearing any sermons like this in SSPX venues?

Of course, my question is rhetorical: We all know perfectly well that the pups have been muzzled for quite some time.

So that makes Fr. Nolan, Fr. Altman, and now this Fr. Altier.
Are there any others?
Do you know exactly what the final 'penalty' was for Fr. Nolan?
I heard Fr. Altman is no longer allowed to have his sermons posted online.

Me too TBH.  Its weird.  I get it when its things (to be clear I'm not making a value judgment here, just a description of reality) that you'd pretty much only hear in SSPX Resistance and Sedevacantist circle.s  So for instance, I'm not surprised that we aren't seeing questioning of the h0Ɩ0cαųst.  But I'm definitely surrpised when I see this stuff come out of the NO and/or the FSSP.

• Demonstrating the utter futility of being a truth-teller within the conciliar counterfeit church, as predicted, Fr. Altier has now been punished for his courageous sermon exposing the COVID19 hoax:

Letter from Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda Concerning Rev. Robert Altier and His Comments About the COVID-19 Pandemic

     September 22, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is blessed with many fine priests. We have reason to expect them to teach the truth of the Gospel, faithfully passing on the teachings of our Church. None of our priests or bishops, however, is an expert in public health, infectious disease, epidemiology or immunology. It would be a mistake to attribute any expertise in these areas to us simply on the basis of our ordination.
I have spoken with Fr. Robert Altier about a recent sermon posted online as “The Coronavirus: the Truth Revealed.” He remains firm in his opinions on the pandemic situation, but he has acknowledged that his remarks were inappropriate in the context of a homily during Mass. The General Instruction on the Roman Missal (n. 65) directs that the homily “should be an explanation of some aspect of the readings from Sacred Scripture or of another text from the Ordinary or the Proper of the Mass of the day and should take into account both the mystery being celebrated and the particular needs of the listeners.” Pope Francis has said that it is to be “a consoling encounter with God’s word, a constant source of renewal and growth” (Evangelii gaudium, 135).
The use of a homily to present medical or scientific speculation does not serve that noble purpose and could be seen as an abuse of the cleric’s position of authority to address an issue unrelated to the liturgical celebration. In the context of the liturgy, no member of the assembly, even if the world’s greatest expert in this area, would have been in a position to contradict Fr. Altier or to offer alternative points of reference.
I have consulted with the Minnesota Department of Health and they provided a critique of some of the points mentioned in the sermon. I have attached those commentsto this letter. I also consulted the local chapter of the Catholic Medical Association and learned that they too considered some of Fr. Altier’s affirmations to be “erroneous” and that they essentially shared the critique by the Minnesota Department of Health (other than the section on vaccinations). They referred me to the excellent resources available at the website of the national Catholic Medical Association (See https://www.cathmed.org/programs-resources/cma-resources/coronavirus-resources/).
Allow me to note that the Catholic Church has long recognized that there are at times ethical questions involved in the production of vaccines. Back in April, bishops serving as committee chairmen at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops voiced to the Food and Drug Administration that, “It is critically important that Americans have access to a vaccine that is produced ethically: no American should be forced to choose between being vaccinated against this potentially deadly virus and violating his or her conscience.” The bishops stressed that there was no need to use ethically problematic cell lines to produce a COVID vaccine, or any vaccine, as other cell lines or processes that do not involve cells from abortions are available and are regularly being used to produce other vaccines. (See https://www.usccb.org/resources/Letter-to-FDA-urging-ethical-COVID-vaccines.pdf).
Catholic theologians and ethicists continue to rigorously study developments in this area. Those looking for reliable resources would do well to consult the website of the National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) (https://www.ncbcenter.org/ncbc-resources-for-covid19). A recent podcast can be found at https://www.ncbcenter.org/bioethics-on-air-podcast-cms/episode-43-further-ethical-perspectives-on-covid-19-vaccines. There will surely be more teaching in this area from the Holy See, the USCCB, and the Archdiocese in the months to come. Just this week a statement was jointly issued by the NCBC and Catholic Medical Association on this topic: https://www.cathmed.org/cma-ncbc-issue-public-comment-re-covid-19-immunization-practices/.
Additional materials on the vaccination question will be provided as they become available. In the meantime, please join me in praying for all those who are sick with COVID-19, those who care for them, those who are working on vaccines, and all those individuals and families affected in any way by the pandemic. Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for us.
With the promise of my prayers, I remain,
Sincerely in Christ,
Most Reverend Bernard A. Hebda
Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis

I recall some old SSPX leaflet about the status of the SSPX vis á vis JP2. Rather than reject the JP2 excommunication, it quoted an array of neo-con priests and Cardinals who minimized the then situation. While it did make some good points, overall this leaflet had a desperate and pandering tone, and my thought is that perhaps this outlook has become generalized. Hopefully not.

The sentence above is perhaps the most striking in Archbishop Hebda's letter. He almost appears to imply that a homily given during Mass might be improved by enabling a "member of the assembly … to offer alternative points of reference." The man had plainly left his sensus catholicus in his other suit when he wrote the letter.

Plus the nonsense of citing the GIRM that a sermon should only be about a Gospel passage (as though there aren’t hundreds of priests preaching liberation theology, gαy rights, racial justice, and rank heresy of every stripe in the Archdiocese).

Apparently, even a pro-life sermon would be grounds for censure, according to this rule.
Interesting then, that Fr. Altier should merit being reminded of this “norm,” while the rest of the Archdiocese does whatever it pleases from the pulpit.

Note too, the oddity of an Archbishop writing to the State Health Department to convey the arguments of his priest.

Sounds to me like it was really the Department who was notified about the sermon from a third party (probably one of the 1 million who have viewed it on JєωTube) who put the screws to the Archbishop, saying, “You will help us debunk your priest’s sermon, or we will tell the Governor to shut you down.”

I'm sure that Pope Bergoglio would say that liberation theology, gαy rights, and the rest are at the heart of the Gospel message. Naturally, his bishops, virtually all of whom are his yes-men, cheer his every word. The guerrilla priests who resist are very brave men.

• BREAKING: Fr. Altman’s bishop has asked him to resign | News | LifeSite (lifesitenews.com)

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin, May 24, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Father James Altman, the priest whose video message last fall “You can’t be a Catholic and a Democrat” went viral and who has fearlessly criticized the U.S. bishops for needlessly shutting churches and denying the faithful sacraments during the CÖVÌD-19 pandemic, announced on Pentecost Sunday that his bishop has asked him to resign for being “divisive and ineffective.”

Bishop William P. Callahan began threatening the outspoken priest with “canonical penalties” in September, even as public support for the priest surged among rank-and-file Catholics around the country and the world.

After delivering a powerful Pentecost Sunday homily, Altman explained: “I regret to inform you, they want my head on a platter. They want my head now for speaking the truth. I apparently have created enemies in the hierarchy.”

Instead of getting choked up or pulling back, Altman doubled down on the truths he has been proclaiming to the chagrin of many U.S. bishops.
Quote
What really is at play here, dear family, is that other shepherds are offended because I simply state the fact that they abandoned their sheep in a time of need.

If this alleged virus was allegedly a fraction as dangerous as they said it was, it was all the more reason to keep our churches open and get you the sacraments so that you stayed in a state of grace. They put your eternal souls at risk!

They despise me for speaking that simple truth. For speaking the truth that Jesus commanded His Apostles: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you, even though I know the world is going to hate you, I send you to baptize, to forgive the repentant, and to feed my sheep.”
. . .
I do not know how any ordained priest, or bishop, or cardinal, could fail to feed his children. But I do know this. I am not the divisive one. I am not the ineffective one. I am not the one disrespecting my office.

They have done a great job being divisive. They have done a great job of being ineffective and they have done a great job of disrespecting their office all by themselves, without any help from me.
“Jesus warned the Apostles and us that if the world hated him, it would hate us, just because we are trying to be faithful. In other words, the world will be divided by the truth,” he continued. “There will be we who are faithful, who follow the truth, divided from those who are not faithful and who oppose the truth.”

“So dear family, you have to ask yourself, why is anyone accusing me of being divisive? Like as if that is a bad thing, if we know that the truth divides, exactly as Jesus said it did, and I am speaking the truth. In 14 months, no one has said I haven’t,” said Altman.

“Then why is any ‘good Catholic’ complaining about me being divisive?” he asked. “The answer, dear family, is no ‘good Catholic’ is complaining. As a matter of fact, good Catholics from around the world have been very, very supportive.”
Altman said he is working with a canon lawyer.

“In response my canon lawyer asked for clarification – asked for the justification and a chance to review what was in my file that suggested I was so divisive and ineffective,” explained Altman. “And I say all this only because, I'm no expert on canon law, but understand only that while we are contesting bishop's request — and we are — he could in theory appoint a parish administrator whilst I remain a pastor without duties until the appeal goes through Rome, which could take up to a year or more.”

Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, offered his support for Altman via Twitter.

“Fr James Altman is in trouble for speaking the truth,” said Bishop Strickland. “I originally supported him when he spoke bold truth during the ɛƖɛctıon. I continue to support him for speaking the truth in Jesus Christ. He inspires many to keep the faith during these dark days.”

Father Richard Heilman, without mentioning Altman’s name, wrote on Facebook: “With tears in my eyes, I write: I have never met a more humble, kind, holy priest in my life. Those who have met him, know.”

“This is war, folks. The vipers in the episcopacy are playing for keeps, while ‘conservatives’ play for what they can hold on to ... for now,” declared Lepanto Institute President Michael Hichborn.

“Fr. Altman is showing priests EVERYWHERE what it means to be a MAN of God!  It means putting everything on the line, and being willing to suffer whatever comes in the face of witnessing to the Truth,” continued Hichborn.

“These godless, gutless bishops, who allow the James Martins of the world to spread their festering cancerous rot, say nothing about the filth infesting the Church or those pushing it ... but they hamstring, hang, draw and quarter good Priests who dare to give spiritual and moral truth to feed their flocks!” he said.

That's what I was thinking.
Good priests trying to stay in the ConciLIAR Church -- it just DOESN'T WORK. They mix about as well as oil and water, or fire and water.
Eventually one of them has to give. Devils can't associate with angels, and vice-versa.

Read that Angelus Press book, "Priest, Where is Thy Mass? Mass, Where is Thy Priest?" -- a couple dozen stories of Novus Ordo priests discovering the Tridentine Mass and finally feeling like a real priest -- inevitably, they hit a brick wall because the Conciliar Church is not Catholic, so there will necessarily be a conflict as they increasingly explore and put into practice their new found "Tradition" (=Catholicism).
