  • I’m in for the long haul on this one: These clothes are a blessing to my mind because I think even trad ladies who wore modest clothing because they were doing their duty (hats off to them for that!) will see these clothes and think, “Wow!”

These clothes make women WANT to wear them (at least based on the feedback I have received thus far).

I am very happy for all the women who waited for something like this to come along😊.

  • What beautiful outfits!  I haven't seen anything so attractive and modest in years....thank you for posting those pictures/websites.

They may be more expensive, but having a few good quality items is better than having a lot of flimsy junk.

Better yet, buy fabric (resale shop or garage sales) and patters and teach your daughters to sew their own clothes.  It is a good, feminine skill to have.  Skirts are EASY.  They are sewn in 2 hours in my house, start to finish.

  • Oh, I do sew.  Modest, attractive patterns are almost as hard to come by as ready-made.  I've taught myself to draft patterns, so the inspiration given by the pictures posted here are invaluable!

  • I'd like to know who the anti-modest down-thumber around here is.  Why don't you come out and state what your problem is instead of skulking around being a grump?

My guess would be an indulterer who resents being thought of as non-trad, despite being non-trad.

The issue of modesty brings that issue home pretty quickly, when all the girls are dressed in pants, and the men/boys in shorts and tank-tops.

    But I'm trad!!!

I never thought this would be a problem.  We seem to have many more patterns than are ever used.  Although, I suppose "attractive" is subjective.

Do you never grow tired of making assumptions?
Do you ever get confused reading so many minds?

Interestingly, the people at the indult mass near me dress far more "trad" than the people at my local sspx chapel.

  • I love this...even as a trad I don't know many other trades that dress modestly all the time...as I believe we should.

I was just telling my daughter that she will learn to sew and she was so excited to think of all the skirts and dresses she will make for the family (hopefully she stays enthusiastic about it)

    Interesting:

If you are an SSPXER, how do you know what they wear at the indult chapel?

And if you are an indulter, how do you know what they are wearing at the SSPX chapel?

Or are you tradcuмenical (liberal), and just come here to blow off steam before your husband gets home?

PS: Pretty rich, getting chastised about making assumptions by a woman who made more assumptions in the “grabbed daughter” thread than the rest of that whole thread combined.  Something about glass houses.

Do all SSPXers always only attend SSPX, and all indulters always only attend indult where you live?

There you go again, making assumptions....

No, liberals are content attending both.

But in that case, you would know only a handful of the others (unless you are the liberal attending both), in which case you are guilty of making assumptions again.

This is too easy, bandying words with Grima Wormtongue.

I guess Matthew is a liberal then?

What is your least favorite group in the Traditional Movement?

First of all, I think you mean, "the broader, anti-Vatican 2 movement" because all Traditional Catholics are more or less OK with me by definition (despite some disagreements on side-topics here or there). ...
