  • Does anyone have a good suggestion for a quick aspiration prayer when I'm reminded of past sins which I've confessed?

I can get harassed with memories and get discouraged and close to despair.

I have memorized and often pray a couple of short, penitential aspiration prayers including, "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me, a miserable sinner."

But my confessor advised me that I need to focus on Confidence in God's mercy.

Any suggestions for a quick prayer of confidence that confessed sins are truly forgiven?

I exposed AB Vigano's public meetings with Crowleyan Satanist Dugin so I ask protection on myself family friends priest, under the Blood of Jesus Christ and mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary! If harm comes to any of us may that embolden the faithful to speak out all the more so Catholics are not deceived.

The first & main one that comes to my mind is:

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee!

Looking for that in the Raccolta, I also found this:

O HEART of love, I place all my trust in Thee: for though I fear all things from my weakness, I hope all things from thy mercies.

The Surrender Novena By Father Dolindo Ruotolo (1882-1970)
(Father Ruotolo was a contemporary of Holy Padre Pio.)

    Day 1
Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying? Leave the care of your affairs to me and everything will be peaceful. I say to you in truth that every act of true, blind, complete surrender to me produces the effect that you desire and resolves all difficult situations.
O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

    Day 2

Surrender to me does not mean to fret, to be upset, or to lose hope, nor does it mean offering to me a worried prayer asking me to follow you and change your worry into prayer. It is against this surrender, deeply against it, to worry, to be nervous and to desire to think about the consequences of anything.

It is like the confusion that children feel when they ask their mother to see to their needs, and then try to take care of those needs for themselves so that their childlike efforts get in their mother’s way. Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul, to turn away from thoughts of tribulation and to put yourself in my care, so that only I act, saying “You take care of it”.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

    Day 3

How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need, turns to me, looks at me and says to me; “You take care of it”, then closes it’s eyes and rests. In pain you pray for me to act, but that I act in the way you want. You do not turn to me, instead, you want me to adapt your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you, but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to. So do not act this way, but pray as I taught you in the our Father:”Hallowed be thy Name”, that is, be glorified in my need.

“Thy kingdom come”, that is, let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with your kingdom. “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”, that is, in our need, decide as you see fit for our temporal and eternal life. If you say to me truly: “Thy will be done”, which is the same as saying: “You take care of it”, I will intervene with all my omnipotence, and I will resolve the most difficult situations.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times).

    Day 4

You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry. Close your eyes and say to me with faith: “Thy will be done, You take care of it”. I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say “You take care of it”. I say to you that I will take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than my loving intervention. By my love, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrendered myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

    Day 5

And when I must lead you on a path different from the one you see, I will prepare you; I will carry you in my arms; I will let you find yourself, like children who have fallen asleep in their mother’s arms, on the other bank of the river. What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason, your thoughts and worry, and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times).

    Day 6

You are sleepless; you want to judge everything, direct everything and see to everything and you surrender to human strength, or worse – to men themselves, trusting in their intervention, – this is what hinders my words and my views. Oh how much I wish from you this surrender, to help you; and how I suffer when I see you so agitated! Satan tries to do exactly this: to agitate you and to remove you from my protection and to throw you into the jaws of human initiative. So, trust only in me, rest in me, surrender to me in everything.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times).

    Day 7

I perform miracles in proportion to your full surrender to me and to your not thinking of yourselves. I sow treasure troves of graces when you are in the deepest poverty. No person of reason, no thinker, has ever perform miracles, not even among the saints. He does divine works whosoever surrenders to God. So don’t think about it any more, because your mind is acute and for you it is very hard to see evil and to trust in me and to not think of yourself. Do this for all your needs, do this all of you and you will see great continual silent miracles. I will take care of things, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

    Day 8

Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of my grace; close your eyes and do not think of the present, turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation. Repose in me, believing in my goodness, and I promise you by my love that if you say “You take care of it” I will take care of it all; I will console you, liberate you and guide you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times).

    Day 9

Pray always in readiness to surrender, and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards, even when I confer on you the grace of immolation, of repentance and of love. Then what does suffering matter? It seems impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul, “Jesus, you take care of it”. Do not be afraid, I will take care of things and you will bless my name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender, remember this well. There is no novena more effective than this.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!

"Mother, I am yours now and forever.

    Through you and with you

    I always want to belong

    completely to Jesus."

These words come from the living experience of the presence of Jesus in the prayer life of Father Dolindo Ruotol.  Father Don Dolindo Ruotolo was a Neapolitan priest (1882-1970), stigmatized miracle worker and “mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit.

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • The Precious Blood of Jesus is in all the sacraments.  Father Faber

My great-great uncle was Fr. Rudolph Stoltz, of the Confraternity of the Precious Blood in Carthagena Ohio ordained in 1907.  Their mission was to speak of the Powers of the Precious Blood.  When Christ died, the demons were just then in understanding that the Blood was saving, Powerful!  They screamed and ran back to hell.  One time I mentioned the Beauty of the Precious Blood of Christ and this man got mad! IMO, he had a devil harbored and he had to tell me , sorry, like when someone burps and has no control.

That is why I think this aspiration is powerful to scare demons off and it also makes it very clear for you knowing your sins are forgiven.

Wonderful!  This story explains well why the plus the Precious Blood prayer above is so powerful.

God bless that poor man. :(

That's great!  The second one especially because I need something that is out of the ordinary to jog my brain and zap the evil. :)

You're not alone MP, we all get harassed with reminders of past sins. I do different things, one is I pray the "Come Holy Ghost fill the hearts of Thy faithful..." prayer a few times. For a long time I recited the Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus usually in English, complete with the sign of the cross at the end, I still do that sometimes. After that I think different things, often Scriptural to take my focus away from those reminders and put my mind on short meditations on things of heaven.

Thinking often of my death works too, always with the hope of heaven in spite of my unworthiness. This hope is, for me, important because our hope for heaven is necessary when thinking of my death. Because what a man hopes for he will strive for, and what he hopes for will dominate what he is. In this day and age, we must never lose that hope or we're sunk, so for me it's best to think of my death with the hope of heaven often because it helps more than only keeping the evil reminders away.

Thank you for this Incred. I looked for more info on Father Ruotolot and found this:

Fr. Dolindo (1882-1970) was a contemporary of St. Padre Pio. When pilgrims came from Naples to visit Padre Pio, Padre Pio would ask them, “Why do you come here, if you have Fr. Dolindo in Naples? Go to him, he’s a saint!” While Fr. Dolindo strove to live a holy life, he simply called himself, “Mary’s little old man.” This tender description of himself along with his prayer of surrender can help us enter into the heart of a man whose cause of canonization has been underway in the Church.
His life began and ended with the reality of the cross. His family struggled financially and his own health was rather weak, but this did not stop him from following a call to the priesthood. Early on in his priesthood, he was accused of being heretical in his teachings and spent years waiting to be cleared of these accusations. A life of making acts of surrender to the will of God was forming him into a humble priest.
“I am totally poor, a poor nothing. My strength is my prayer; my leader is the will of God which I let Him take me by the hand. My security over the uneven path is the heavenly mother Mary.”
He was a priest who was close to the people and was known to have a keen understanding of the human soul, which might be why he was unceasingly sought out by souls for guidance. Most often he was comforting those who were suffering. His birth name Dolindo even means suffering. He chose to suffer for others through penance and accepted to suffer whatever God permitted. Patience in suffering was his heroic virtue and it blossomed in the fruit of a joyful nature despite his body being crippled by arthritis. After a serious stroke, his body was paralyzed for the last 10 years of his life. And just as the crosses in Fr. Dolindo’s life formed him, so too can the crosses we are bearing now form us, if we accept them as he did.
In going through his own experience of bodily suffering, Fr. Dolindo counseled his “patients” on how to live their illnesses. He wrote them a “doctor’s prescription”, which included seeing the illnesses as opportunities of trusting the love of God and Mary:
“Divine remedy: divine obedience to the Will of God mixed with daily drops of the Hail Mary.”

  • My go to aspiration when I am having a rough time or need assistance is an ancient one I heard of that people used to try and say a thousand times a day:

"Lord Jesus Christ crucified have mercy on me (us)!"

Also this one helps refocus my mind and remind me of why I am here on earth:

"My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love thee! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee." (Fatima prayer)
"Jesus, Meek and Humble of Heart, make my heart like unto Thine!"

  • MP, Try this one.  It will grow on you.
A Cincinnati trad gentleman introduced it to me last year and it has given me consolation.
It is simple and has the correct theological focus on God's will.

Thank you for this Incred.  I needed it.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

  • Into your hands O Lord I commend my spirit.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • You're not alone MP, we all get harassed with reminders of past sins.

Thank you, Stubborn.  It helps to know I'm not the only one! :)
