Part of my family was raised strict religious pre-Vatican II Catholics. My half was raised Catholic, but also to be successful in the world. My story begins with my aunt's strict religious family. My father who calls them nutters and Catholic Taliban said to be wary of them as their beliefs could cause me to make less money in my future. My aunt was a stay at home mom that raised nine children. She instilled a strict discipline into those children. My father warned it was a sigh of cultist behavior and I should look to the example of my successful school friends who abort, commit sodomy, and use drugs. My aunt also didn't use her talents to open a successful internet business .
She wasted her time on her family. These children for all outward appearances appeared devout in a traditional Catholic sense. The prayed the rosary every day, attended morning mass, and confessed frequently. My father pointed out that they were Irish and they were unacceptable to Jansenist as they didn't go to normal school dances, smoke, or get drunk. The dances that I attended at my more worldly school were great. I was able to debauch successful in several ways, maintain top grades, and make connections for my future in life. My dad is the man. Well, my father's suspicions proved correct as all the children ended up as losers that couldn't find jobs. My eldest cousin named Mary hung herself in the Church when it was found that she was pregnant. My cousin peter was arrested for running a child porn ring.
My cousin Anne was busted as a prostitute. My cousin Stephen, the most devout, accidentally died whilst committing shameful debaucheries. My aunt is now in mental institution and my uncle is now a drunk that lives on the street. I yearn to live as a traditional Catholic, but the example of my family causes me concern. I am AFRAID of JANSENISM, CATHOLIC NUTTERS, and CATHOLIC TALIBAN that may keep me from success and having a “good life” as my father has name it. Please help me find my path.
I also attend the SSPX mass daily and have done so for 20 years.
