Part of my family was raised strict religious pre-Vatican II Catholics. My half was raised Catholic, but also to be successful in the world. My story begins with my aunt's strict religious family. My father who calls them nutters and Catholic Taliban said to be wary of them as their beliefs could cause me to make less money in my future. My aunt was a stay at home mom that raised nine children. She instilled a strict discipline into those children. My father warned it was a sigh of cultist behavior and I should look to the example of my successful school friends who abort, commit sodomy, and use drugs. My aunt also didn't use her talents to open a successful internet business .

She wasted her time on her family. These children for all outward appearances appeared devout in a traditional Catholic sense. The prayed the rosary every day, attended morning mass, and confessed frequently. My father pointed out that they were Irish and they were unacceptable to Jansenist as they didn't go to normal school dances, smoke, or get drunk. The dances that I attended at my more worldly school were great. I was able to debauch successful in several ways, maintain top grades, and make connections for my future in life. My dad is the man. Well, my father's suspicions proved correct as all the children ended up as losers that couldn't find jobs. My eldest cousin named Mary hung herself in the Church when it was found that she was pregnant. My cousin peter was arrested for running a child porn ring.

My cousin Anne was busted as a prostitute. My cousin Stephen, the most devout, accidentally died whilst committing shameful debaucheries. My aunt is now in  mental institution and my uncle is now a drunk that lives on the street. I yearn to live as a traditional Catholic, but the example of my family causes me concern. I am AFRAID of JANSENISM, CATHOLIC NUTTERS, and CATHOLIC TALIBAN that may keep me from success and having a “good life” as my father has name it. Please help me find my path.

I also attend the SSPX mass daily and have done so for 20 years.

MOD NOTE: This is humor, not a true story.

I got your back. Both in prayer and in the front lines from the oppressively prideful brit.

What has happened to your aunts family is heartbreaking. Take a look at your life now and measure it with reason. I am not a too good talker in these things. I can guarantee I will pray for you and even offer my intentions at Mass.

You had me very worried, Sedetrad!

    Odalia's post?

    Gregg's continuously trolling:

I was making a general comment on the simple minded idea that we can all opt out of the economy and be better off.

I find a similar irony here, to Islamic fundamentalists telling the Western world how evil and decadent it is and then using jet aircraft (Britain), explosives, (Sweden), cellphones, computers, video cameras and all manner of western developments to perform their Jihad against us.

It never seems to dawn on those Camel lovers that their culture has not produced anything in 1000 years.  Literally, nothing.

Why would a Catholic draw these associations?  To bring up Jihadist fundamentalists in relation to these posts on self-sufficiency is bizarre.

Btw, for those of you madly searching, it's ggreg not Gregg.

  • I made this template because well meaning trads apparently are caught up by similar troll posts. These trads are not "wise as serpents." This is a primer for them.

  • one argument I heard about watching TV is that part of you brain, maybe it's the reptilian part, cannot discern that the guy getting shot to death on the screen is not a really being shot. Actually the best example of this phenomenon is from a Simpson's episode.

Homer: It'll be great to see the old gang again. Potsie, Ralph Malph, the Fonz.

Marge: That wasn't you, that was "Happy Days"!

Homer: No, they weren't all happy days. Like the time Pinky Tuscadero crashed her motorcycle, or the night I lost all my money to those card sharks and my dad Tom Bosley had to get it back.

Just saying I might have a hard time remembering down the line sedetrads story was fake.

I hope it doesn't effect how I raise my kids.

  • Sede trad:  Don't measure the catholic actions/faith by what you see.  Some people can get the   wrong perceptions and what to expect.  If anyone takes on the catholic faith seriously, they can expect the devil /demons to work very hard on them.  The demons will not waste their time on those people already lost.  Even Christ had Judas.  Money as nothing to do with it.  But if the family was tempted heavier and once they lose sanctifying grace, the next thing is to want ѕυιcιdє.  It is all the steps of demons.  Be sure to do some readings on how the demons operate.  Look at the Cure De Ars!  He was tempted heavily but he was able to lead the town of Ars to heaven and those people worked on Sundays and the Cure proved to them that they could have a day of rest and adore Christ and still prosper and get by.
