    Yes, very well said Incred!

    My wife and I came a hair's breadth away from actually moving to Kentucky to be close to what we perceived to be the ground zero of 'the Resistance."  (Thank heavens our real estate deal fell through, a real blessing in disguise.)    We both remember Betty and her husband as very kind and personable traditional Catholics.  We remember in particular the delightful meal they treated us to at the local Cracker Barrel.

    Betty Pfeiffer Obituary
    We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2023, at the age of 82, Betty Pfeiffer of Boston, Kentucky, born in Miami, Florida passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Pfeiffer to pay them a last tribute.
    She is survived by : her husband John Harrod Pfeiffer; and her sons, J. Timothy Pfeiffer, William Pfeiffer, Bishop Joseph Pfeiffer, Michael Pfeiffer, Anthony Pfeiffer and James Pfeiffer. She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8th 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 9th 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 8th 2023 at 6:30 PM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 9th 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (1730 N Stillwell Rd, Boston, KY 40107).

    Hopefully that is just an honest oversight by whoever published the obituary and not the disedifying pettiness that everyone could do without.

    • I've found the obituaries at Echovita to not be that well written.  I don't know who writes them, the ones at Legacy.com are usually better.  Here is a link to her obituary on the funeral home website: https://www.barlowfh.com/obituary/Betty-Pfeiffer.  This one does include the prefix "Fr." in front of her son J. Timothy Pfeiffer's name.
