  • Absolutely fascinating!

In the Sixth Age of the Church, the Reign of Mary, the Chinese Empire will be dominated by Trad Catholics

Another great find from the Land of Saints & Scholars :cowboy:
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Interesting but clearly he isn't Catholic/Christian.

    He makes some mistakes.

When he says that God allowed them to touch the fruit but not eat. This is false. Just because scripture does not mention that God said not to touch does not mean he did not say to not touch. The Saints say Eve touching the fruit was like the occasion of sin. She first saw it, then took it, then ate it. Also Eve was in the state of grace, so if she said God said not to touch that means she was telling the truth of she lied which is a sin, meaning her first sin would have been that of telling a lie and not of pride.

Seems like a protestant mega church, gives me the ick.

Overall it seems like useful historical information, but I don't know how true the chinese characters are as I have zero prior knowledge on this.

  • on March 19, 1715, Pope Clement XI released the Edict Ex Illa Die, stating that Catholics must use "Tianzhu" instead of "Shangdi" for Christianity's God.

    taken from wikipedia

    Also

On 19 March 1715, Pope Clement XI issued the papal bull Ex illa die, which officially condemned Chinese rites.[19] In response, the Kangxi Emperor officially forbade Christian missions in China, as they were "causing trouble".[26]

Clement XI banned the rites in 1704. In 1742, Benedict XIV reaffirmed the ban and forbade debate.[1]

In 1939, after two centuries, the Holy See re-assessed the issue. Pius XII issued a decree on 8 December 1939, authorizing Chinese Catholics to observe the ancestral rites and participate in Confucius-honoring ceremonies.[1] The general principle of sometimes admitting native traditions even into the liturgy of the church, provided that such traditions harmonize with the true and authentic spirit of the liturgy, was proclaimed by the Second Vatican Council (1962–65).[6]

Both from wiki, also interesting how Pope Pius 12th did another 'dubious' thing during his reign... is Ladislaus still on the forum?

    The Haydock commentary says:

"Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect."
"Seek first the kingdom of Heaven..."
