Your wealth and security is evaporating before your eyes, so you decide to give up ALL chance of earthly happiness?

Sterilizing oneself will ensure your remaining life is less happy, because children are the future and one of the greatest sources of happiness for those in the married state.

Killing your baby only leads to mental torture, anguish, psychological problems, and a destruction of femininity and everything that is beautiful in a woman.

Why not just jump off a bridge and lose any chance of eternal happiness as well? It would be a perfect "trifecta" of despair.

These people haven't a clue.

Don't they realize that there are other ways to live? That kids are NOT THAT EXPENSIVE unless you live according to the messed-up American culture?

More people need the Catholic Faith, more people need the Truth, more people need to visit CathInfo.

Many doomers are stockpiling contraceptives/pills, so as to be able to continue their fun in the days of collapse, without fear of other mouths taking their food.

Like 70 AD in Jerusalem, people will - IMO - be reduced to cannibalism.  In some, perhaps many cases, the younger children will be prime targets - even for their own parents.

Again, they haven't a clue.

None of them has ever voluntarily fasted, so they don't know the various effects of fasting (greater mental acuity, less concupiscence, etc.)

You're right though -- when it comes to famine, war, scarcity -- modern men will react just as the ancient pagans did. There's no Catholic virtue to get in the way, for most of them.
