Do you wear any catholic medal outwardly? Are you allowed to? St. Benedict, the Miraculous medal maybe. When I was on the job, we could not discuss religion, but I did in other ways. I was an assistant on a school bus. I wore medals, and gave the children book marks which were pictures off christmas cards. The students, about age 10 really liked them and then would tell me stories and such. And some times I would get a reprimand from my boss and I would just go on. As for the adults I worked around, I never had to say anything, my medal said it all. Some times if they were using Gods name I would sign myself or the adult saying it would say, "Oh, excuse me ______! I would reply back, " don't say you are sorry to me, but to Our Lord." But, they knew where I was coming from and left me alone. On your job, are there any magazines? My husband and I like putting pictures of saints and such slipped in or such. IN a hospital, you can slip in church bulletins and such. When you eat out, put a holy card with your tip at the table. In order to do something about the world around us, we still can express ourselves in different ways. People should get the idea if you can openly show a medal and hopefully they will get the idea. If they ask, point out your medal.
