Morality thrown completely out the window...

You know in our modern-day world there is a completely casual attitude in terms of how sex is discussed, along with rampant pornography and sɛҳuąƖ stimulations. When you have to work with men who try to "dare" you to give into sex, pornography, promuscuity, etc. it is definitely sinful to even hang around them. However some of us have no choice but to work alongside these people. It tells you how our society has gone into the gutter, where sex and marriage and a woman used to be a sacred thing, but nowadays there is a completely casual attitude as to these things and, pardon my language, but "getting some."

Do you wear any catholic medal outwardly?  Are you allowed to?  St. Benedict, the Miraculous medal maybe.  When I was on the job, we could not discuss religion, but I did in other ways.  I was an assistant on a school bus.  I wore medals, and gave the children book marks which were pictures off christmas cards.  The students, about age 10 really liked them and then would tell me stories and such.  And some times I would get a reprimand from my boss and I would just go on.  As for the adults I worked around, I never had to say anything, my medal said it all.  Some times if they were using Gods name I would sign myself or the adult saying it would say, "Oh, excuse me ______!  I would reply back, " don't say you are sorry to me, but to Our Lord."  But, they knew where I was coming from and left me alone. On your job, are there any magazines?  My husband and I like putting pictures of saints and such slipped in or such.  IN a hospital, you can slip in church bulletins and such.  When you eat out, put a holy card with your tip at the table.  In order to do something about the world around us, we still can express ourselves in different ways.  People should get the idea if you can openly show a medal and hopefully they will get the idea.  If they ask, point out your medal.

I've said to people speaking crudely:

"there's a lady/kid around"

and got laughed at

but then I hear women and kids talking as bad, sometimes worse

Don't use words.

Stomp on offenders foot.

Use heel of your boot.

Songbird gave very good helpful suggestions.  To that I would add, use your Holy Water!  Take it to your place of work and sprinkle it around, and make sure to bless yourself with it during the day, as you're able.

St. Teresa of Avila spoke often of the great value and power of Holy water.  She said there is nothing like Holy water to put devils to flight and prevent them from coming back again.

Untold spiritual wealth is concentrated in one tiny drop of blessed water!  The devil hates Holy water because of its power over him; he cannot long abide in a place or near a person that is often sprinkled with blessed water.  But, we must remember to use our Holy water with Faith and piety.

Here are some prayers we can say when using our Holy water  http://www.holyreflections.com/Extras/Extras2/HolyWater.html

God bless you!
