I haven't looked very deep into this, but from what I understand, there are different ways of creating humanized mice for research.
One way: There are photos at Google Images of the baby skulls with hair still on top lined up with mice grafted on to them.
Horrific.
We can't say, "We didn't know," when it's just one click away.
