Father Jose De La Riva lived close to Garabandal and was able to visit and witness the children and events.

Memoirs of a Spanish Country Priest

Bp. Williamson believes the Garabandal apparitions are authentic.

It might be a good time to read-up on them.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • Isn't it true that Conchita was purportedly told that the "council of John XXIII will be the greatest of all"?!

    I hadn't heard that?

It's a good read. I'm in the first 15 pages now.

It's comical that in the very early stages of the apparitions, the Diocese was trying to shut it down.

The priest was from the area was supportive of the children and gained much first-hand information.

He mentioned that the people (faithful & unfaithful) had an influence on the children.
