  • Hey crossbro, as St Francis said, "there the second worst thing in the world for one's soul, after sin, is sadness".  As one post said earlier, you gotta control your emotions…sometimes it's hard.  The devil will use your emotions against you, or he will try.  As St Thomas Aquinas said, "If you're tired, take a bath and drink some wine."

In other words, if you're in a "funk", do something different, fun, enjoyable.  It's good for the soul and as St Don Bosco always remarked about his boys, "if the boys are playing and having a good time, they usually don't sin."  We all need distractions from our daily duties and worries.  Don't let them get you down, strengthen/refresh yourself if need be so you can battle them at a later time.

Moderation in all things, even spiritual things!  God doesn't require excessive stress to get to heaven!

    God bless.

  • The gates of hell will not prevail.  When I was younger (20+ years ago) and still in conciliardom, I felt as though perhaps they had.  I can only imagine if I was 20 today, with an awareness of how things had been before Vatican Coup, and was still attached to conciliardom.

I suggest you leave conciliardom and find a true Catholic chapel.  I have found considerable peace since doing so a year ago myself.  I wish I had done so a long time ago.

  • I think going to a valid Latin Mass and confession offered by validly ordained priests is the only solution.  You will gain nothing, and stand to lose your soul, if you follow any spiritual advice given by the not-ordained ministers of a diocese.  Those men are not true priests, they are no more than protestant ministers, even if they do flounce around in a cassock,  and they cannot confer valid sacraments.

As St. Augustine said in his Confessions, "...for Thou madest us for Thyself, and our heart is restless, until it rests in Thee.

  • I would be wary of going to diocesan TLM's.  There is one that I go to when I visit my mom, and that one is good.  That priest will probably eventually be persecuted for preaching Catholicism.  There is another diocesan TLM near where I live that I've been to twice, because I was not able to attend the SSPX Mass those mornings.  The second time around was enough to convince me that the new church, even when it has the Liturgy, usually doesn't have the Faith.  Don't go to these masses.  Just read your missal every Sunday and pray the Rosary every single day.  The Holy Mass mixed with heretical sermons, is almost as bad as a novus ordo mass mixed with heretical sermons.  Don't stand with heretics, regardless of what liturgy they have.
