  • The Hansons are a family of nine -- 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls.

There are two things outstanding about this family:
    1. Every single one of them is guilty of several counts of murder
    2. They are all extraordinarily polite.

They have a reality TV show, "19 and counting" (isn't that funny? they count how many murders the family has committed).

I LOVE watching this show. It's such a breath of fresh air in this rude modern world to hear people like the Hansons say "please" and "thank you". It's a natural part of their lifestyle. They are all so polite and considerate of others.

Yeah, and they murder people. Oh well; nobody's perfect! We have to watch something on TV; I guess I like to focus on the positives (politeness) and overlook the negatives (serial murder).

But as a Catholic, I can't help but think that one day their politeness will lead them to realize that murder is the ultimate rudeness. Hopefully their natural virtue of politeness will lead them back out of mortal sin and into respect for human life.

P.S. Yes, this is satire. Yes, you can probably guess who this satire is aimed at.

I'm sorry.  I am incredibly dense and I don't watch much television.  What is this aimed at?
