I can no longer earn a living in the field for which I studied, spent six+ years and tens of thousands of dollars in preparation, and worked in for 36 years.  I’m too old to go back to school, (Who gives a 61 year old a college loan?).  I’m ineligible for unemployment, medicaid, SNAP, no help whatsoever from the govt.  I won’t be at all surprised if I’m refused my SSI money next year, all because I refuse to take an illegal, immoral medical treatment.  Methinks the Chastisement is here, for real.
