  • One of the most anti Catholic governments in Irish history is a clever one. We must keep in mind a possible referendum on abortion and Pope Francis will visit Ireland in 2018. Social media users have reacted with anti Catholics 'blowing up' twitter and silence from Catholic commentators. Perhaps the reaction they wanted. The Sisters of Charity were one of four orders, who operated the so called Magdalen Laundries.

Minister insists maternity hospital will be independent of religious influence despite ownership structure

The new National Maternity Hospital to be built on the St Vincent's Hospital campus in Dublin, will have full clinical, operational, financial and budgetary independence, the Minister for Health has said.
The land on which the new hospital will be built is owned by the St Vincent's Healthcare Group and the Sisters of Charity are a major shareholder in the group, which will own the new hospital.
Simon hαɾɾιs said it would be free from any religious or ethnic influence and the independence of the hospital will be copperfastened by reserved powers and a golden share held by the Minister for Health of the day.
He said this was part of an agreement reached last November, brokered by Kieran Mulvey, former chairman of the Labour Relations Commission, who acted as a mediator between Holles St and St Vincent's hospitals.
Proceeds from the sale of the current Holles Street Hospital will go toward the cost of the new facility, which was originally put at €150 million but is expected to cost significantly more.
A new company called the National Maternity Hospital at Elm Park will operate the new hospital.
A lien, or charge is also to be placed on the new maternity hospital, in favour of the State, in order to protect the State's interest in the building.

In a statement this evening, Master of the National Maternity Hospital Dr Rhona Mahony said the new maternity hospital will be operated by a new company "with an independent board and will be clinically and operationally entirely independent in line with national maternity hospital".
Dr Mahony said the current facility is not fit for purpose and the "co-location of this hospital with an adult tertiary hospital will revolutionise healthcare in Ireland for women and children.
Social Democrats TD Roisín Shortall said it was highly inappropriate and deeply insensitive to give ownership of the new maternity hospital to the Religious Sisters of Charity.
She said it was wrong for the State to allow a religious congregation, or any private interests, to be the owner of a hospital.
Labour health spokesperson Alan Kelly said it was wrong to give the Sisters of Charity sole-ownership of the hospital.
Mr Kelly said that given the events of recent weeks, including the failure of religious congregations to meet their share of the cost of redress, it seemed extraordinary to see the State continuing to fund an increase in the asset values of the same congregations.

  • A few days on and certainly difficult days ahead for Ireland. Less than 10 Catholics mainly novus ordo types have presented any type of defence of the faith or sought truth on social media.

Our counter parts in the United States are far more effective in their use of the alternative media. I was on the receiving end of a barrage of threatening abuse for defending the faith yet not one showed any support. They all appear overwhelmed by the foes. The silence perhaps that Cassini experienced at a pro-life meeting. There is little or no fight left in the Catholics of Ireland.

At this stage only a miracle will prevent the right to life from being removed from the Irish constitution.  The fighting Irish is indeed laughable. What a sorry sight the Irish have become.

  • The Clinton's and the Democratic Party have been funding Sinn Fein with fundraisers for years.  George Soros has been donating to pro abortion and pro sodomy groups. Most world leaders have received money from terrorist groups.  The Terrorist groups were brought in to eliminate Christianity.  I have friends who are a Irish born that sympathize with the terrorists and view Christians as the cause if the problems.  Where I live there are many traditional Catholics who voted for Pro abortion Candidates.  They even voted for Hillary.
I don't understand the Easter uprising? It seemed to me that these historical events are bigger then Easter Sunday and Jesus, the Rosary and all the trimmings.
It was sickening to watch the Ancient Order of Hibernians hang out with a pantywaste and other sodomists.

SEVEN SINN FÉIN MEMBERS LEAVE PARTY OVER BULLYING CLAIMS

Seven members of Sinn Féin in Naas have left the party over claims of bullying, intimidation and a toxic and hostile environment.
Naas-based councillor Sorcha O’Neill was one of those who resigned from the party today.
Sinn Féin have issued a statement saying they regret that Mrs O’Neill has decided to leave the party and it is their belief that she was a dedicated and capable member of the team.
Now Independent councillor, Sorcha O’ Neill says it was time to leave the party: “I myself, have experienced bullying and hostility and aggression towards myself over the last couple of years, but, when you have members coming to you saying that they are losing sleep.
“The members themselves are distraught and it just came to a head and we made a decision just to leave the party because it is just so unhealthy.”

  • SPUC posted this about 50 minutes ago to their Facebook page. In the 50 minutes one person has shared. They will be fortunate to get another share or two. Contrast with Twitter. Nearly 70,000 people have signed the anti Catholic petition. Every 30 seconds or so an anti Catholic post is shared to Twitter denouncing the sisters and the church. About 10 or so folk have bothered to defend the church in the public sphere. Surely all the groups could share the article as they have Facebook accounts. Very strange the silence of the Catholics here.

Catholics and groups in the United States are far more effective than here in Ireland. Very much the pockets of resistance left, the guerrilla warfare the Bishop wrote about.

Irish Health Minister demands that nuns allow abortion in hospital on their land

The design for the new hospital on land owned by the Sisters of Charity.
    Quote
The Irish Health Minister has called on an order of nuns to agree contracts allowing abortion and contraception in the new National Maternity Hospital being built on their land.
Irish Health Minister Simon hαɾɾιs has intervened in a row about ownership and control of the proposed new National Maternity Hospital in south Dublin where the new 300 million euro facility is planned next to St Vincent's Hospital.
The decision by the government to "hand over" control of the new hospital to a religious order has caused a furore in the Irish press, and thousands have signed a petition opposing it. The outrage is centred around historic allegations of child abuse by the order, as well as fears that the nuns would prevent abortion and other practices contrary to Catholic teaching taking place on the premises.
"Making valuable land available...at no cost"
However, few of the articles mention that the Sisters own the land where the badly needed new hospital is being built and are not making any profit from the arrangement. As the Health Minister explained: "The St Vincent's Healthcare Group is making available very valuable land at no cost to the State, to facilitate the relocation of the National Maternity Hospital. In doing so, they have foregone the opportunity to put this land to alternative use. Let me very clear: there will be no financial gain to any religious order from the development of this hospital."
    Abortion "care"
Four of the nine people on the board of the new hospital will be nominated by St Vincent's Hospital Group, which is owned by the Sisters of Charity. Dr Peter Boylan, a former Master at Holles Street Hospital, said that is is "inappropriate for a hospital to have a strong religious influence, particularly from the Catholic Church", questioning whether access to "care" such as IVF and terminations would be affected by the nuns religious beliefs.
Despite the fact that there was previous agreement on the issues following a mediation process Health Minister hαɾɾιs has belatedly intervened and has announced that he is trying to establish three conditions, including that "The hospital must have clinical, operational and financial independence, with no question of religious interference. The Minister for Health will have the power to guarantee this to ensure all relevant and legal healthcare must be available."
    Anti-life agendas
Pat Buckley, SPUC's UN and Ireland consultant, said: "Ireland has, without recourse to abortion, one of the lowest levels of maternal mortality in the world. Abortion and IVF are not healthcare, and it is with great sadness that I see anti-life agendas being pushed even to the extent of forcing nuns to permit them to take place on land they own, which they have freely made available to the state."

  • Board to 'review the status' of controversial National Maternity Hospital plan
    http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/board-to-review-the-status-of-controversial-national-maternity-hospital-plan-786650.html

The Board of St Vincent's Healthcare Group is to review the status of the National Maternity Hospital project in light of the recent controversy, it was announced tonight.
Under the proposed plan, there was to be nine people on the board of the new National Maternity Hospital - four nominated by the St Vincent's Hospital Group, which is owned by the Sisters of Charity, four by the current National Maternity Hospital, including the Master. It was to be chaired by an international expert in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Questions over whether the Sisters of Charity would have ultimate ownership of the public hospital and could profit from has provoked anger as the congregation has yet to pay €3m of redress for victims of institutional child abuse.

This evening, a statement by Jimmy Menton, chairperson of St Vincent's Healthcare Group, read: “On November 21, 2016, following six months of intensive discussions chaired by Mr. Kieran Mulvey (former CEO of the Workplace Relations Commission), St Vincent's Healthcare Group and the National Maternity Hospital (NMH) signed a comprehensive agreement providing for the corporate and clinical governance arrangements for the future operation of a new maternity hospital, called ‘The National Maternity Hospital at Elm Park DAC’.
“That agreement was publicly endorsed and welcomed by both the Minister for Health, Deputy Simon hαɾɾιs, and the Taoiseach, Deputy Enda Kenny, at a press briefing that evening in Government Buildings.
“In view of the controversy and misinformation that has arisen in recent times regarding the project, and the views expressed by the Minister for Health and other members of the Oireachtas, the board of St Vincent's Healthcare Group will review the status of the project in light of the current situation.
“Pending this review, the Board does not intend to make any further comment.”
Yesterday, Health Minister Simon hαɾɾιs said: "I want to make sure that no religious order makes one cent from this move."

  • A tragic irony is the pro-life lobby and pro-life vote elected Simon hαɾɾιs. Pro-life were brutally betrayed with the 2013 abortion legislation despite the 2011 pro-life 'promise'.

    http://www.thelifeinstitute.net/blog/2013/07/20/how-to-legalise-abortion-with-lies-bullying-ignorance-and-stealth/
    Quote
    4. Lie to the people to get elected and insult them by breaking the promise you made.
Question: How do you know a politician is lying?
    Answer: Their lips are moving.
Let’s be clear about this: In 2011 Fine Gael made a pre-election promise to the Irish electorate that they would not legislate for abortion. (2) They were subsequently elected with a landslide victory. Phil Hogan, the Director of Elections for Fine Gael wrote from the General Election HQ; “Fine Gael is opposed to the legalisation of abortion”. Really Phil. Simon hαɾɾιs TD sent an “anxious email” to Pro-Life Campaign days before the election; “I am happy and proud to assure you I am pro-life. Please be assured of my support. I need No1 votes on Friday so I can be in a position to support these positions in Dail Eireann”. (3) Really Simon. Last time I checked, voting for a bill that allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy is not pro-life.
Politicians break promises all the time, nothing new here. What’s more disturbing here is when a broken promise costs the life of an innocent human being.

  • I shared it to many Catholic pro life groups, John.
I shared it with Regina Magazine and they posted it on their site.  I think I shared with EWTN.

Where is the outrage at the pedophiles in Hollywood or the thousands of children abused by politicians and UN peace workers?   How about the sex abuse in other false religions like Mormons, Scientology. Etc.  where are those lawsuits.

May God bless you and keep you
