Didn't Canada have its Thanksgiving last month?
(Incidentally, my son asked me today why Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October. It's my understanding that it is because of the shorter growing season, and that the harvest takes place earlier. Is that right? We devoted a week-long session in geography last year to Canada, breoad overview of history, culture, geography, and government, and he is extraordinarily well-acquainted with Canada compared to American pupils.)
I underwent TG dinner at my elder brother’s last month indeed. You would think after this many years they could learn how to have all the food HOT when it came to eat. Ah well. I made turkey for myself and my sister the following week, with traditional preparation of the food.
There were a few years I made turkey on Confederate Thanksgiving
same food with a few Southern touches.
I did spent TG one year in MS. Oh the food!
and these days it is hard to eat, esp as I have been especially ill for the past few weeks.
glad to read you have studied about Canada in your homeschooling curriculum. Yes, much shorter growing season. By this time in November snow and cold prevail. A bit of both this year but not enough yet to brighten this ole Polish 🐻❄️ bear ❄️🙏⛄️🦃🥶🛐☦️✝️
