  • RC, I believe you are confusing this with a solar eclipse.

A lunar eclipse can only be as bright as a full moon, and a lot less bright at total eclipse

    Yes, exactly.

It's only solar eclipses that can damage your eyes.

Lunar eclipses don't have enough direct sunlight power to do anything.

  • I just read an article that both lunar and solar eclipses should not be
    viewed by the naked eye.
Look it up yourselves. I am staying in all night.

Whatever article you read is completely and utterly wrong.  As other have stated, a lunar eclipse is only as bright as a full moon, which everyone knows is perfectly safe to look at with the naked eye.

Don't believe everything you read online, and it's always best to use a little logic in your thinking.

  • I've watched the lunar eclipse multiple times, in addition to gazing the full moon on countless other occasions, and my eye sight is perfectly fine.

  • I took some great photos till my camera died 3/4 of the way through.  Clear, crisp photos available online but I love having some I took myself.  I was surprised how it did not really look RED to the naked eye, but in really shows up blood red in the photos.

  • Funny you mention the red. My husband couldn't see the red until it peaked but I could see it almost from the start.

  • We had a clear night 2 nights ago and again tonight, but for the eclipse it was cloudy. The rest of the family got a good look, but I was busy with something else when the clouds parted for awhile.

If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.
