FYI - when G.F. says "CPS will condemn your home", he's referring to CPS Energy (the electric company) and not Child Protective Services

Yes, I didn't catch that. But it amounts to the same thing. I just saw "condemned" and knew what that meant -- namely, "bye bye kids".

I'm sure CPS (Child Protective Services) wouldn't look kindly on someone raising children in an officially "condemned" home. That has to be one of the easiest ways for them to "act", i.e., move to take your kids.

You can have it as a supplement to your grid power, but if it’s being fully off grid you want, you need to find a very rural area where few see you and nobody really cares how you light your house.
