Not only do you need to have electricity in your home to keep CPS from taking your children, but you can't PROVIDE YOUR OWN ELECTRICITY by solar panels, windmills, water wheels, or some alternative off-grid means.
To have a home considered "livable" you have to be tied to the Grid and pay monthly fees to the electric company.

That's INSANE.

Truly shameful and disgusting.

In Canada that is really old news. Hot water is required, locks on bedroom doors, 12 liters/min of fresh air per bedroom 24/7 HVAC, cannot restrict visitors for your kiddies, (ie. bedrooms, ), and kids can wear whatever they feel like wearing, and cannot be pushed in a religion. etc.

Related: In 2017  our province encouraged the solar panels with an attractive discount. Many farmers large businesses built the project on their farms etc. Then 2 years in, the gov't cancelled the program, and many lost 1000 of dollars. Then 2 years after that then reinstated the solar panel grants. The "Net Metering" program allowed to get credit [ $$] for the electricity you fed back to the grid.

  Our population is 41 million souls. 12 million live off or supported by gov't programs...Retired, welfare, refugees galore, aboriginals etc.  That's about 29%.

So the gov't ends up paying for your utilities. It is getting closer to the Welfare state status, no?
