Loretta Young was a lovely actress. She was active in film and television from the 1920's through the 1960's. She was in "A Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant, among many others. She also had a very-Catholic T.V. Show called "The Loretta Young Show" in the 1950's.
She authorized a biography before her death which details her life in a very nice way. She repented of her sins and lead an exemplery life in penance for her sins for the last few decades of her life.
She, Irene Dunne and Jane Wyman were all Catholics ... all actresses during the early days of Hollywood....Jane Wyman fell far afield of her faith during her younger years, but repented of her sins and ultimately became a third order nun, I can't remember the order, but she was buried in a habit when she died.
BTW: Jane Wyman was Ronald Reagan's first wife.
Irene Dunne was a rarity in Hollywood. She was married only once, to a dentist, and was devoutly Catholic. She starred in several films with Cary Grant in the 30's and 40's and has largely been forgotten except by classic film buffs.
She was quoted as having said that she was "In Hollywood, but not of Hollywood."
