Apparently, all of this ties into something called "permaculture" which is essentially the designing of sustainable farming/living situations. The interesting thing is that it's run primarily by the "green people" (as I call them).
The idea of permaculture would do more to help everyone and everything than all of the government programs put together would. Fresh produce sells itself, and think of all the trees people would plant.
