  • I am in need to formulate a certificat of baptism.  We, the grandparents, baptized our grand daughter.  The parents approved us doing it, but did not wish for a priest to do it.  We were informed by our traditional priest to formulate a certificate and have it with letter head or such to make it stand out and to have in notarized and put away with our important docuмents.

I am sure that I am not the only one in this situation and this would be a help to many.  I know the important info such as who, where, dates and such. I'm looking for the words, phrases to use.  So far I have: Baptism validly administered/conferred by the Holy Roman Catholic Church and I get stuck.  Maybe someone has done this procedure and can give us something to go on.  Our priest is busy and I am glad that he brought this to our attention.

  • Maybe you could ask one of the priests of the Resistance to do it for you. I am sure they will start keeping records of sacraments like Baptism, Matrimony and First Holy Communion. That would give you some extra assurance that the record is kept for the future.
