Your definitely going to see legions of cottage industries pop up out of nowhere, so more than likely you will be either self employed in producing something yourself or providing a service, or you will be working under someone in your community who already is.
What a person needs to do is to think about what their own needs are and figure out how he can provide those things for himself. For example, you currently make use of clothes, toiletries, household utilities and appliances, food, fuel, storage containers, etc. All of those are just a few categories of products that have a demand that will NOT be able to be satisfied by the then non-existent industry that we have now, most especially since foreign trade will be extremely limited (that is if it exists at all). If you can figure out how to produce some of those products and sell them in your community at a profit then you have yourself a livelihood .
If you could manufacture toilet paper in a situation like that what makes you think it's not going to sell?
