  • Has anyone else noticed the propaganda blitz to promote gambling lately in America? The perfidious Jєωs at ESPN think they are clever with their frequent references to how much money people who bet on sports are supposedly making. They also think they are clever promoting the game of poker as a "sport." Anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have been involved in gambling in the past or know anyone who has, knows that gambling is a sure way to eternal perdition unless one gives it up. St. Augustine said that "the devil invented gambling."

Almost all of the large casinos, poker rooms, and sports books are owned by Jєωs. Sheldon Adelson types, all of them. It is clear that getting Americans addicted to gambling is part of Satan's plans for the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr. We need to strongly resist this wicked plot.

I thought many of them were owned by American Indians. Anyway, I play poker for fun but not for money. I don't know what the Church teaches about gambling for money because I have heard from some people that it is always sinful and from others that it is only sinful in excess.

Jєωs are the largest investors in the "Indian" Casinos.

Poker is the most Jєωιѕн of all of the gambling games. It is a game based on attempting to deceive your neighbor. I say this to you as a brother in Christ who used to play lots of poker before my conversion. I know all too well the pitfalls that come with the game. You should take into consideration that the reason poker has become so popular in America is precisely because Satan promotes it everywhere. It is promoted in the Hollywood films, on ESPN, etc.
