    • I have Windows 10, and somehow ended up with Microsoft Edge which I never opted in for.

    This morning a disgusting LGBT symbol showed up on the bar at the bottom of the page and I am unable to get rid of it. I am covering up the offensive symbol with a J.M.J. sticker. How do I get rid of this?

    • Switch to Linux or Windows 7. Windows is real bad. Consider Brave browser also... Brendan Eich was excised from Mozilla (Firefox) for supporting marriage as between a man and a woman in his state of California and went on to make Brave.

    If you must use 10 you can get W10 LTSC which is stripped down and doesn't have all of the ridiculous telemetry. 

    Bill Gates has your PC in a chokehold unless you use Linux, and it is only gonna get worse.

    • You should be able to just uninstall Edge.  Then you can set the default browser to whatever you were using before.

    Microsoft is known to aggressively try to get users to switch their default browser to Edge.  So they try to sneak in these prompts to get you to click OK.  Just enter “Default” in Windows search to bring up default programs and then find where Edge is set as the default browser and switch it back.  Then under “Add or remove programs” you can uninstall Edge.

    • You're computer has turned gαy.  They're trying to push trans-object ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity on people.  You'll have to smash your computer and trash it and then burn it into a smoldering heap.

    Joking aside...You may just be able to right click on the icon to have a pop up to remove it but if not as others have said just uninstall edge.

    First thing I tried was right click. Nothing, just Microsoft hell.

    I see that they've made it more difficult to uninstall recently.  But this guy explains how to force it off your system:

    It's not necessary to get rid of it, just don't use it and don't let it be the "Default" browser app.  Make sure you have an alternative browser installed and then change the one you want to be the Default web browsing application.  Just type in "Default" in Windows search and click "Default apps" when it comes up.  Then just click on where it lists Edge as your "Web browser" (about the 6th one down) and switch it to the one you want.

    • The same thing happened to me yesterday. I was furious—it was the operating system(Windows 10 and 11). It is gone today, but as some have said, you need to change operating systems to something like Linux if you don't want this filth shoved in your face.
