Here are a couple excerpts from a neighborhood Facebook page -- that is, a bunch of people who live within walking distance of each other, and likely will see each other in person at some point in the future! (so much for blaming anonymity, etc.)

So apparently it's not CathInfo, or even Trad Catholics, but HUMAN BEINGS that have issues getting along with each other.

So let's look at the big picture here... it's not just some people quitting CathInfo over the years, citing the intense arguments and occasional name calling, but people ALL OVER THE NATION withdrawing socially from all sorts of groups because they can't deal with people who disagree with them!

How messed up is that?  When did we lose the ability to be civil and have adult discourse with a wide variety of people, including those who disagree with us, even about important issues?

It's like we're becoming a bunch of quitters, snowflakes, and weaklings who seek constant confirmation and "safe spaces" and a bubble world where they won't be challenged. As soon as an unpleasant idea is detected, we retreat into our bubble. That doesn't seem very mature or psychologically healthy.
