  • Here are a couple excerpts from a neighborhood Facebook page -- that is, a bunch of people who live within walking distance of each other, and likely will see each other in person at some point in the future! (so much for blaming anonymity, etc.)

This was not meant for any political setting or name calling. Unfortunately, every post in this Group becomes that. This is one reason I very rarely post anything here.

Pretty sure she wasn't posting this to bash the owner which seems to be a big thing on this page. So awesome to find perfect people who do everything right all the time!!!!! Have fun with that miserable attitude!

So apparently it's not CathInfo, or even Trad Catholics, but HUMAN BEINGS that have issues getting along with each other.

  • So let's look at the big picture here... it's not just some people quitting CathInfo over the years, citing the intense arguments and occasional name calling, but people ALL OVER THE NATION withdrawing socially from all sorts of groups because they can't deal with people who disagree with them!

How messed up is that?  When did we lose the ability to be civil and have adult discourse with a wide variety of people, including those who disagree with us, even about important issues?

It's like we're becoming a bunch of quitters, snowflakes, and weaklings who seek constant confirmation and "safe spaces" and a bubble world where they won't be challenged. As soon as an unpleasant idea is detected, we retreat into our bubble. That doesn't seem very mature or psychologically healthy.

  • If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • Yeah, I wonder who Wessex will have "trad-chatty" with now ?

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

    .
Perhaps Greg Taylor would have a word or two? He won't talk to anyone if they're still hooked up with CathInfo.

Pax Vobis, don't you know that he's only yelling if he uses ALL CAPS!  Bold isn't yelling, it's just speaking with emphasis.
Kind of like italics - just changing the voice pattern a little. Now, bold and italics well, that's another story.
If you use that all the time, you just might be a Lay Exorcist.
    And it's common knowledge that's not Matthew's cup-o-tea.
