Title: It's Halloween Season - July 13th
Post by: Matthew on July 14, 2024, 01:03:16 PM
My local grocery store already has Halloween candy up, on an end-cap display. IN EARLY JULY. THE FIRST HALF OF JULY.

With OVER THREE AND A HALF MONTHS until the SINGLE-DAY holiday where kids go out trick-or-treating and everyone wears a costume.

Does it really require 1/3 of a year to celebrate this 1 day holiday?

For CRYING out loud!

Every holiday is being anticipated farther and farther ahead of time.  IMO, this demonstrates the desperation of brick-and-mortar retailers.  They had Easter candy put out the day after St. Valentine's Day around here.

Yeah, that's everywhere, every year. But February 15 - Easter -- that's not even 2 months in many years, since Easter moves. But a mere 2 months? That's child's play. Those are rookie numbers.

Yes, this is taking it to the next level ... unless the stuff is leftover from the previous year (didn't sell) and so they're trying to dump it off before it expires.

You should setup a Chist the King end cap display

It’s not just the push from retailers. People get more and more crazy about Halloween. That has been my observation, at least.  It’s turned into a major “Holiday” second only to Christmas. Over the past few years in my area I’ve noticed much more elaborate Halloween displays on houses and in yards, early decorating, etc. It seems to be an obsessive craze.

Yes, but not THIS early ... even those zealots are not thinking about stocking up for Halloween 3.5 months early.

Yes, but it gives people a bag of candy that they will probably eat before Halloween, and then they will have to go buy more.  It is probably just a ploy to sell more candy.  Human nature doesn't like to feel guilt.  They are banking on the "Oh! No! I ate all the candy.  Now I have nothing for the trick or treaters, so I have to go buy more."

Satanists have declared Oct 31st as their major feast day of sacrifice and evil. They even claim abortion as one of their sacraments.

It's easy to just say it's retailers greed for putting candy out this early, but I really think the devil is just using their greed to keep the day in children's minds longer.

We have the governments giving the church of satan religious status, schools allowing after school satan clubs, costumes last year were more satanic with goat head masks etc
.
I think there's more evil spirituality behind the early candy offerings than just temporal greed.
So much about halloween has gone from childish goulish to down right satanic.
