What everyone else said. And no one is lacing your Halloween candy with anything. 

That was one guy in 1974 who took out a life insurance policy on his children because he was in six-figure debt. So he poisoned one of their bags of candy. 

If you live in a neighborhood where fentanyl in people's candy is a problem, then it's time to move.

This is a bizarre Americain custom which is being exported all over the world for the last decade.

One of the main reasons we pray before meals, and ask the Lord's blessings upon the food, is because demons frequently hide in the food.

If that is the case, I can especially imagine them being attracted to Halloween candy, and even more so to the candy Catholics will receive on such an occasion.

We were just joking about this at work as a means to keep Reese's. I'm pretty sure that myth came about so parents can keep some of the good stuff for themselves :laugh1:

Like I said in the other thread on Halloween, it's all a matter of how you celebrate it (or don't) in your household. Some make it overtly Satanic, and are best to be avoided, others have fun poking fun at the macabre, sharing candy, and wearing costumes. I got this little booklet with Hallow's Eve prayers to say and sanctify the Eve of All Saints.

Where did you hear that? Chad Ripperger? :laugh1:
I'm pretty sure we say a prayer in thanksgiving for the food, not because there might be demons "in" the food.
