  • Hello everyone how are you today? Happy late easter

I have an question about halal food i been reading about it on our Croatian web sites about it and what it is yet i am a bit confused about it by what it says that muslims use their blessing on animals  before meat comes to stores

yet what about products like milk, cheese white one, cookies chocolate and other things like what we eat usally as sandwich and product to make food taste better  Addition for example sugar or mixed thing

I whould be happy if someone can answer the question because i am confused can we eat it if we bless the food because almoust half of our Croatian foods have Halal its like no choice than to eat what do you think of this?  you can look examples

Podravka  Garvilovič Dukat examples  google check in english web sites

Food Additive is Vegeta example must popular one
Kraš also for cookies and chocolates
    Podravka for for food
Garvilovič is more for meat stuff
Dukat is more about milk chocolate like jogurt etc

I mean usally i eat all that since i was a child yet now when this came up this really is strange maybe someone knows and have the answer about this is there eny priest on here or someone can ask priest what they think about it?

I mean i cant argue with parents what they use we use these product daily i dont want to make my parents stop using it afther all i live with parents i have to listen to them so should i obey and eat this when they make? with it

  •  Much of american processed food products have a Kosher mark: a K with a circle around it or a U with a circle around it; Pareve for Passover, etc. The Rabbi's get a financial cut in everything.
You really can't avoid eating it. I know nothing about halal, though.

I understand thanks for telling me also about halal you can find here what it is

    https://www.icv.org.au/about/about-islam-overview/what-is-halal-a-guide-for-non-muslims/

For us Christians at least since we have no choice than to eat because of almoust all of product is based on muslim stuff or kosher we can bless the food right also i readed that its not sin to eat halal or kosher on many catholic sites yet its good to bless it before consumation correct? afther all i learned that food is actually blessed before coming to stores

But here s what confuses me isnt idol food from the bible something else from this what we actually hear or learn halal or kosher

Also isnt it weird that Christian alow other religion to bless the food?  since in today world where we live in secularism took over atheistic materaliostic where no one really cares what s going on i mean i whould to not bother back then yet now when i repented it was like i was in dream sleeping the whole time now when i waked up the world is diffrend place like its possesed completly if you get me i mean?

  • Halal is food suitable for Muslims, following the Muslim rulesfor eating.
You are not eating because it is halal, but because it is food which is readily available.

    St Paul tells the Romans:

[11] For it is written: As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. [12] Therefore every one of us shall render account to God for himself. [13] Let us not therefore judge one another any more. But judge this rather, that you put not a stumblingblock or a scandal in your brother's way. [14] I know, and am confident in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. [15] For if, because of thy meat, thy brother be grieved, thou walkest not now according to charity. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
[16] Let not then our good be evil spoken of. [17] For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but justice, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. [18] For he that in this serveth Christ, pleaseth God, and is approved of men. [19]Therefore let us follow after the things that are of peace; and keep the things that are of edification one towards another. [20] Destroy not the work of God for meat. All things indeed are clean: but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

So... Say your prayers before you eat, bless us Our Lord and these thy gifts, go ahead and enjoy your food. Halal is not sacriced to idols. How much stronger is God's blessing on you food than a muslim blessing.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

That's correct. If I'm not mistaken that was confirmed in the council of Florence.

Yes, halal meat is not sacrificed to idols. I agree it's OK to eat.

In my area, regular foods and halal of the same type are the same price and usually from the same company. A nearby meat shop catering to halal uses animals all slaughtered the same way, although they sell some meat not marked halal at the same price. So I don't think buying halal food is subsidizing anything in most cases.

Halal dietary restrictions are kind of lite kosher. It basically means no pork, no alcohol, and no blood as an ingredient (blood sausage, blood soup, hematogen bars). Animals must be slaughtered a certain way, including animals whose by-products are used in many processed foods. If halal food is not available, most muslims will buy kosher as that has no pork, and animals would be slaughtered appropriately.

And FYI, kosher salt is just salt with a crystal size that is good for drying meat. It's called kosher because it is used in preparing kosher meats.
