  • My country has done sth wonderfull that is filtering porn websites ie. those who have bad words in their URL. But like anyother action, it sometimes makes mistakes (filtering good webites too) for example the words that have both good and bad meanings are filtered, sometimes these words are devotional words.
Now given the fact that we must obey the government in everythong except sin, is it sinful to use a device for breaking their filters in order to visit catholic websites??

It depends on the consequences I think.

If you put yourself at risk unnecessarily, then it cannot be justified.  If you are using them not to disobey the intention of the law but only to find important information, there is good reason to use them, provided the potential benefits outweigh the risks.  If you use them and then end up in trouble, it is certainly not worth it.

  • The government does not intend to filter out good websites. But since filters don't work perfectly, it often happens that the good websites are mistakingly also filtered out. Since this is a glitz in the technology of filters, you can break the filter inorder to go the sites that the government never intended to block out in the first place.

You don't have to blindly obey the government in every single thing it decrees. For instance, this would be a situation where you don't have to obey the government: Suppose a law is enacted that forbids TV watching after 10:00 PM. If you wanted to watch a video on TV at 11:00 PM, that would not be wrong on your part. You are not obligated to follow a law or decree that is has no purpose.

  • Spouse, I am sure that there are some countries who have done an excellent job in banning pornography. But, some have banned words like Christ, Jesus and Catholic as well. So, as stated before some laws are for no purpose, and if you use your own filter, the teachings of the Catholic Church you will know what sites to stay away from. These days most governments do not have the best interest of the people at heart, but control and money and power.

  • The words "Christ" or "Jesus" are not filtered. but a word like "virgin", used to be filtered for sometime. they even ask people to inform them if a website is filtered by mistake!

It's odd that a Muslim country should filter out the word "virgin" because the word is contained many times in the Koran itself. One such example is when the Koran speaks about Muslim heaven as being a place where Muslim men have 72 virgin wives to enjoy for unlimited sɛҳuąƖ pleasure. Muslim men in Paradise experience non-ending arousals and that every time they have sex with one of these wives, they find her body reconstituted as a virgin.

  • In theory, I applaud the Saracens for banning pornography from their nations- God knows how many souls have been lost to that pernicious sin borne of the accursed Jєωs (nearly myself as well). However, their practice extends to also censoring sites that spread the TRUTH of Catholicism.
